Key findings from the new Sport England Active Lives Children research into attitudes to sport and physical activity were recently released. They outline 5 key findings that give us further insight into the attitudes of children and young people towards sport and physical activity. The research also shows:
- Girls are less likely to enjoy or feel confident about doing sport and physical activity than boys.
- Boys ages 5-7 years are more likely to enjoy sport, whereas girls of the same age are more likely to enjoy being active.
- Children from the least affluent families are less likely to enjoy activity.
