Coaches and Workforce

In Oxfordshire, we recognise that the people promoting and delivering sport and physical activity (S&PA) are our greatest asset. By supporting and developing the paid and volunteer workforce we can help make sure that everyone accessing activities has an excellent experience every time.

At Active Oxfordshire we are here to support coaches, leaders and activators leading sports and physical activity sessions as well as health and sports professionals who are promoting and advocating S&PA to the public.

Our aim is to help coaches, clubs and organisations to continue the fabulous work they already do in keeping the county active but also to improve the experience of the inactive population and get people feeling the health and social benefits of S&PA.

Not forming Sports Champions, but Life Champions

Change 4 Life

Change 4 Life

These days, 'modern life' can mean that we're a lot less active. With so many opportunities to watch TV or play computer games, and with so much convenience and fast food available, we don't move about as much, or eat as well as we used to.

SUGAR SMART is a campaign run by Sustain. We help local authorities, organisations, workplaces and individuals to reduce the amount of sugar we all consume.

Anyone can pledge to become SUGAR SMART – from councils and schools to restaurants, hospitals and independent companies.
