Newly launched Active Neighbourhood Scans will bring people together to create happy, healthy, and active places to live
Oxford is the second most unequal city in the country, with 10 of 83 wards being within the top 20% most deprived areas in the country, and having low outcomes in terms of childhood obesity and physical and mental health in adults. People in lower socioeconomic groups are twice as likely to be inactive as those in the highest socioeconomic groups.
We take a place-based approach with the aims of creating equal opportunities in priority neighbourhoods where residents face more barriers to physical activity, to create happy, healthy, and active communities, and Active Neighbourhood Scans can support with this. Read More »

Fighting inactivity and tackling inequality in 2023: Active Oxfordshire
2022 was a busy year for us. We worked with more than 85 partners and reached over 6,000 people, helping them to improve their health, wellbeing and life chances through physical activity. Active Oxfordshire celebrates 12 highlights from 2022
As 2022 draws to a close, we want to celebrate our highlights from the year, working together with more than 85 partners across Oxfordshire. Together, we've helped over 6,000 people to improve their health and wellbeing through physical activity.
