Newly launched Active Neighbourhood Scans will bring people together to create happy, healthy, and active places to live
Oxford is the second most unequal city in the country, with 10 of 83 wards being within the top 20% most deprived areas in the country, and having low outcomes in terms of childhood obesity and physical and mental health in adults. People in lower socioeconomic groups are twice as likely to be inactive as those in the highest socioeconomic groups.
We take a place-based approach with the aims of creating equal opportunities in priority neighbourhoods where residents face more barriers to physical activity, to create happy, healthy, and active communities, and Active Neighbourhood Scans can support with this. Read More »

Access Sport Oxfordshire: Making sport more accessible and inclusive across the county
During its' first year, Access Sport Oxfordshire has proudly worked with Oxfordshire-based sports clubs and organisations, communities, and residents, to make sure children and young people facing barriers to physical activity can enjoy the huge benefits which being active brings.
