Active Oxfordshire celebrates 12 highlights from 2022

As 2022 draws to a close, we want to celebrate our highlights from the year, working together with more than 85 partners across Oxfordshire. Together, we've helped over 6,000 people to improve their health and wellbeing through physical activity. We continue to work tirelessly for a happier, healthier and more active Oxfordshire and there is so much more to do - but for now we want to say thank you to our partners and communities, and take a moment to celebrate highlights from the year with our "12 days of Christmas" campaign. International Day of Disabled Person's, on Saturday 3rd December 2022, is an international awareness day, which aims to help promote empowerment and help to create real opportunities for disabled people.

Breaking down barriers to activity: shining a light on UK Disability History Month

16th November – 16th December 2022 is UK Disability History Month, and this year's theme is 'Disability, Health and Wellbeing'. Here at Active Oxfordshire, we know and recognise the important benefits to our physical and mental wellbeing, when we are physically active. However, we also recognise the inequalities disabled people face in accessing physical activity and sport and we work to try to reduce these inequalities. Read More »
