Toolkits and Resources
This section contains information on different Physical Activity, Disability and Long Term Health Condition toolkits and resources. These web based resources are freely available for organisations and individuals to use online.
A great starting point is this video which explains why it's crucial for the health and activity sectors to work together:
Mapping disability: the facts
Mapping Disability: the facts has been created to give an overview of disability within the population. Its purpose is to inform and direct strategy and delivery, improving choice and opportunity for disabled people to regularly take part in physical activity and sport.
Inclusive communications
The way organisations talk, words used, tone of voice or even body language can affect anyone's opinion of the sport or fitness provider and most of all – their trust in them. Communication is also about listening to the audiences and using the insight to target more effectively. With this guide EFDS continues to build on the insight of disabled people's preferences in language, messages and the channels to reach more participants.
