First Aid and Safeguarding courses

Safeguarding and Protecting Children and First Aid

Safeguarding courses are required in most sports for coaches and volunteers who have regular contact with children in a supervisory role.

Many sports require a first aid qualification for coaches. If you are working towards a coaching qualification please consult with your National Governing Body of Sport to ensure you find a suitable first aid course for their requirements.

Active Oxfordshire no longer organise regular safeguarding or first aid courses. We can facilitate a closed course if a club or association has a large group wanting one.

There are local organisations who organise safeguarding and first aid courses as well as some NGB options.
