Latest update

Join us for the first in-person event for sports coaches and clubs to champion safe sport!

Excitingly, along with safeguarding managers from the Active Partnerships in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hampshire, we are hosting the first in-person event for coaches, safeguarding and welfare officers, and other sports clubs leaders.

When? Saturday 11th October 2025, 10:30am - 2:30pm.

Where? Pentahotel, Reading, RG1 7RH

Follow here for more details of the day and to register your place for free.

The day will include interactive workshops with opportunities to connect with other coaches and club safeguarding officers, presentations from keynote speakers sharing their lived experiences of abuse in sport, and you'll be able to take away practical ways to create a safe culture within your sport.

No matter your role or level of experience, your voice and your presence really matters. We encourage club welfare officers, committee members, coaches, volunteers, and any else with an interest or responsibility in safeguarding to attend.

We aim for our events to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you have any questions or would like to share any adjustments you may need in order for the day to be as enjoyable and easy an experience as possible, or if you would like to discuss the event, please reach out to Heidi: HeidiYates@activeoxfordshire.org.
